BLACKPINK’s Rosé Debuted New Two-Tone Hair

It’s just the right amount of Y2K.

Rosé switched up her pearly platinum blonde hair and threw it back to the 2000s with a new two-tone hue. The BLACKPINK member debuted the color change on the cover of Vogue Hong Kong with a middle-parted chignon and an all-black wardrobe.

Rosé shared the pics on her Instagram so fans could get a close peek at the color refresh. Gone is her pale blonde bleach and tone, and in its place is a strawberry blonde accented by bold, chunky black highlights. The darker color is especially prevalent near her face, though there are a few more pops of black at either side of her head and a few in the back. In the photos, Rosé wears her hair pulled back with a few face-framing tendrils, a super-popular style that also gives us all the throwback vibes.

The look pairs perfectly with the black gown, tube top, oversized jacket, and textured slip dress the musician and fashion icon wears throughout the photo spread. It’s impactful but overpowering, a modern take on the two-tone “halo” and black-in-blonde highlight hairstyle popularized by Christina Aguilera back in the 2000s. The Vogue Hong Kong team kept the makeup super minimal, with fresh skin and matching strawberry blonde brows, and accessorized with plenty of silver rings and bracelets. The entire vibe is extremelyRosé, who often experiments with rock and punk details in her looks.
